One and One is One: The Beginning
Grady Pearson had a perfect life -

In this book I explore the background of my character Grady Pearson - a young child who, because he tells the truth about what he has seen and experienced - is shunned and bullied by the people he thought were his friends. His trust in the world forever shattered by an act of revenge that almost kills him, he must learn how to survive what most adults never experience.
This book takes Grady from birth to age 21, about to step out into the world as an adult, alone, still haunted by what happened to him as a child, but determined to make a life for himself in a land that isn't his own, but where he must live.
An explanation of what the title means: As explained by Grady's father, for every person in the world, there is one and only one other person out there who is meant for you and you alone. You may never find them, but you must never give up the hope that you will. And when you do, then the two of you become one. Grady's parents exemplified this concept, and he holds that hope inside him as he steps out into the adult world.
